# Privacy Policy — Pagiqo

This Privacy Policy explains how **Pagiqo** ("Pagiqo", "the app", "we", "us") handles your information. Pagiqo is a PDF scanner, editor and on-device AI assistant for iPhone, iPad and Mac.

**Summary:** Pagiqo is offline-first and privacy-first. Your documents are processed entirely on your device. We do not operate any servers, we do not collect, sell or share your personal data, and we do not use any analytics, advertising or third-party tracking SDKs.

## 2. The data Pagiqo works with

Pagiqo works with the content you create or import, including:

- **Scanned documents and imported files** (PDFs, photos)
- **Recognized text (OCR)** extracted from your documents
- **Signatures** you draw
- **AI-generated summaries, titles, tags and key dates** produced from your documents
- **App preferences** (theme, language, toggles such as iCloud Sync and App Lock)

All of this content is created and stored **on your device**.

## 3. How your data is processed

- **On-device only.** Scanning (camera), document detection, image filtering, text recognition (OCR) and AI features (summaries, titles, tags, key-date extraction) all run locally using Apple frameworks (PDFKit, Vision, Core Image, the Foundation Models on-device language model). Your document content is **not** sent to us or to any third party for processing.
- **No network calls.** The app contains no networking code to transmit your documents or usage to any external server.
- **No analytics or tracking.** Pagiqo includes no analytics SDKs, no advertising SDKs, and does not use the Advertising Identifier (IDFA) or App Tracking Transparency tracking.

## 4. iCloud sync (optional)

If you keep **iCloud Sync** enabled, your documents and app data are synchronized through **your own private iCloud account** using Apple's CloudKit. This data is stored in **your** iCloud private database, governed by [Apple's Privacy Policy](https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/) and your iCloud terms. The Developer has no access to your iCloud private database and cannot read your documents. You can disable iCloud Sync at any time in the app's Settings.

## 5. Device permissions

Pagiqo requests the following permissions only for the features you choose to use, and only when you use them. You can change them at any time in **iOS/iPadOS/macOS Settings**.

| **Camera** | To scan physical documents into PDFs. |
| **Photo Library** | To import selected photos and turn them into PDFs (Pagiqo accesses only the items you pick). |
| **Face ID / Touch ID** | To lock the app and protect your private documents and signatures. Biometric data never leaves the Secure Enclave and is never seen by Pagiqo. |
| **Notifications** | To deliver local reminders you enable (e.g. pending signatures). Notifications are scheduled locally on your device. |

## 6. Purchases

Pagiqo offers an optional **Pagiqo Pro** subscription via Apple's In-App Purchase. Payments, billing and receipt validation are handled entirely by **Apple**. Pagiqo does not receive or store your payment-card details. Purchase entitlements are verified on-device by StoreKit. Apple's handling of your transaction is governed by [Apple's Privacy Policy](https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/).

## 7. Data sharing

We do **not** sell, rent or share your personal data with anyone. Documents leave your device only when **you** choose to share or export them (for example via the iOS Share Sheet to an app or person you select).

## 8. Data retention and deletion

Your documents remain on your device (and in your iCloud account, if sync is enabled) until you delete them. Deleted documents move to **Recently Deleted**, from which you can restore them or permanently remove them. Uninstalling the app removes its local data from that device; data in your iCloud account is managed through your Apple ID.

## 9. Children's privacy

Pagiqo is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from children. Because no data is collected by us, the app stores only content the user themselves creates on their own device.

## 10. Your rights

Because Pagiqo does not collect your personal data on any server, there is no remote profile for us to access, export or erase. You remain in full control of your content on your device and in your own iCloud account at all times.

## 11. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as the app evolves. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above and posting the revised policy at https://pagiqo.app/privacy.
